Official Rules

Entry period: October 1–31, 2026. Prizes are gift cards to participating venues, each with an approximate retail value under $600.

Summary: No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. Entry is free. Buying a pink item supports the campaign but does not improve your odds. Open to U.S. residents 18 and older. Void where prohibited.

1. Sponsor and Administrator

The Eat Drink Wear Pink 2026 Pink Passport drawing (the “Promotion”) is sponsored by the American Cancer Society, Inc. (the “Sponsor”), a qualified 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, Tax ID Number 13-1788491, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Men Wear Pink of Lane County is a volunteer fundraising campaign of the American Cancer Society and administers the Promotion on the Sponsor’s behalf; it is not a separate legal entity. Proceeds from participating venues benefit the American Cancer Society through the Men Wear Pink of Lane County campaign.

2. Entry Period

The Promotion runs from 12:00 a.m. PT on October 1, 2026 through 11:59 p.m. PT on October 31, 2026 (the “Entry Period”). Entries received or postmarked outside the Entry Period are not eligible. The Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper.

3. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees, officers, and volunteer ambassadors of the Sponsor, participating venues, and their respective immediate family members and household members are not eligible. Alcoholic pink items may only be purchased by those 21 years of age or older; a non-alcoholic option or a purchase-free check-in is available at every venue.

4. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win, and a purchase will not improve your chances of winning. A check-in may be recorded at any participating venue during the Entry Period without buying anything, without ordering the venue’s featured pink item, and without interacting with staff. Purchasing a pink item supports the campaign but is entirely optional and confers no advantage in the drawing.

5. How to Enter (Digital Check-In)

Scan the QR code posted at a participating venue, sign in with your name and email, and complete a check-in on your Pink Passport. By signing in or creating a Pink Passport account, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older and that you accept these Official Rules. Each participant may record one (1) check-in per participating venue for the entire Entry Period. Check-ins are tallied automatically — there is nothing to mail or submit. Limit one Pink Passport account per person.

6. Free Alternate Method of Entry

If you cannot or prefer not to check in digitally, you may obtain check-in credit at no cost by hand-printing your full name, mailing address, email address, phone number, date of birth, and the name of the participating venue you visited on a 3" x 5" card and mailing it in a hand-addressed envelope with sufficient postage to: Eat Drink Wear Pink — Men Wear Pink of Lane County, American Cancer Society, PO Box 22770, Portland, OR 97269. Limit one card per venue per participant. Cards must be postmarked during the Entry Period and received no later than November 7, 2026. You may also request an accommodation through the contact form on this site during the Entry Period.

Once the October venue lineup is final, a free printable paper passport is also available. Collect a venue staff signature and date for each venue you visit, then drop the sheet off at any participating venue by October 31, 2026 or mail it to the address above, postmarked during the Entry Period and received no later than November 7, 2026.

Check-ins recorded by mail, paper passport, or accommodation are treated identically to digital check-ins, count toward the entry tiers in Section 7, and carry the same chance of winning. Paper passports are tallied by the Administrator after they are received, at the close of the Entry Period.

7. Entries

Every five (5) unique venue check-ins earn one (1) entry in the drawing: 5 check-ins = 1 entry, 10 = 2 entries, 15 = 3 entries, and so on. Entries are rounded down; fewer than five (5) check-ins earns no entry. There is no maximum number of entries. Repeat visits to the same venue do not add check-ins.

8. Prizes

Grand prize: one (1) winner selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period.

Bonus prize: awarded to one (1) winner selected at random from all participants who check in at every participating venue during the Entry Period. If no participant checks in at every venue, the bonus prize winner is drawn at random from the participants tied for the highest number of unique venue check-ins.

Each prize consists of one or more gift cards to participating venues. The approximate retail value (ARV) of each prize is less than $600, and the total ARV of all prizes awarded is less than $600 per winner. No prize consists of alcohol. Gift cards are subject to the issuing venue’s own terms, expiration policies, and applicable law, including all alcohol sales laws; the Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for a venue’s closure, change of ownership, or refusal to honor a card. Prizes are awarded “as is,” are non-transferable, and no cash or other substitution is permitted except by the Sponsor, which may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Limit one prize per person or household.

9. Winner Selection and Notification

Check-ins are tallied after the Entry Period closes and both drawings are conducted by the Administrator on or about November 10, 2026, in Lane County, Oregon. Winners will be notified by email at the address associated with their Pink Passport account or mail-in entry. A winner who does not respond within five (5) business days of notification, or who is found ineligible, forfeits the prize and an alternate winner may be drawn at random.

10. Taxes

All federal, state, and local taxes on a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. Each prize has an ARV under $600, so no IRS Form 1099 is expected to be issued. If the value of a prize awarded to a winner reaches $600 or more, that winner must complete an IRS Form W-9 before the prize is released and the Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 as required by law.

11. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for the Sponsor to use the winner’s name, city of residence, and likeness for promotional purposes relating to this and future Eat Drink Wear Pink campaigns without further compensation.

12. Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, the Men Wear Pink of Lane County campaign, participating venues, and their respective officers, employees, volunteers, and agents from any claim, injury, or loss arising out of participation in the Promotion or acceptance, use, or misuse of a prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or undeliverable entries, or for technical failures of any kind, including interruption of network, device, GPS, or software function.

13. Disqualification

The Sponsor may disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, creates multiple accounts, records check-ins at venues not actually visited, or otherwise acts in violation of these rules or in an unsportsmanlike manner. Automated or fraudulent entries are void.

14. Right to Modify or Cancel

If the Promotion cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Promotion and to award prizes at random from eligible entries received up to that point.

15. Governing Law and Winners List

These rules are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, and any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Lane County, Oregon. For the names of the winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the mailing address in Section 6 by December 31, 2026, or use the contact form.

16. Platform Disclaimer

This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, Apple, Google, or any other platform on which it may be promoted. Participants release those platforms from all liability related to the Promotion.

17. Roles

Participants are members of the public who check in at venues and are eligible for the drawing. Participating venues are Lane County restaurants, bars, and shops that feature a pink item and donate to the campaign. Men Wear Pink ambassadors are volunteer fundraisers who recruit venues and receive the resulting venue donations toward their American Cancer Society campaigns; ambassadors do not check in, earn entries, or take part in the drawing.

18. Void Where Prohibited

This Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Because entry is free and no consideration is required, the Promotion is a sweepstakes and not a raffle or game of chance requiring a charitable gaming license.

19. Privacy

Information submitted with entries is used solely for the purpose of administering this Promotion and future Eat Drink Wear Pink campaign years. See our Privacy Policy for details.
